2015 Lexus GS F

2015 Lexus GS F: A completely undisguised Lexus GS sedan prototype decked out in high-performance, F-style gear. Lexus’s high-performance F sub-brand is similar in concept to BMW’s M or Mercedes-Benz’s AMG, but has thus far only churned out the IS F sedan and the LFA supercar as full-fledged models, as well as a passel of F Sport-branded trim levels for the IS, GS, and LS. Currently, the GS sedan lineup consists on the GS350, GS350 F Sport, and GS450h hybrid.

Why It Matters: If this test mule indeed previews a production GS F sedan, it would continue the mainstream expansion of Lexus’s F sub-brand, which will also launch the RC F the F variant of the IS’s coupe sibling next year. Furthermore, a true supersedan from Lexus finally would give its customers an alternative to stuff like the M5, the E63 AMG, or the Audi S6. Source

2012 Lexus LF-LC Hybrid

2012 Lexus LF-LC Hybrid: Toyota's luxury division, Lexus, has been pretty good at putting hybrid drivetrains in its cars, giving them better fuel economy and low smog-forming emissions than most competing models. But what would be really nice is if they pushed a bit further and starting making fully electric cars (or even plug-in hybrids). Sadly, the latest concept car by Lexus doesn't go quite that far and sticks with just a conventional gas-electric hybrid drivetrain.  LF-LC (who picks these names?) is 2+2 sporty coupe. 

Lexus claims that it's "showcasing the future design direction for Lexus with an emphasis on a driver-focused vehicle" and "displays the new Lexus design language in its bold interpretation of the signature Lexus spindle grille and rear architecture. Sumptuous curves blend smoothly into dynamic angles, creating an inviting display of lines, shadows and corners."

2011 Lexus IS 250

The 2011 Lexus IS 250 is powered by a 2.5-liter V6 engine, which replaced the Supra-based inline-6 of the first generation. The small engine makes 204 HP at 6,400 rpm along with 185 lb-ft of torque at 4,800 rpm, thanks to variable valve timing and its high compression ratio of 12.0:1. The least-expensive 2011 Lexus IS 250 comes with a 6-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. The next step up adds a 6-speed automatic, and the most expensive 2011 Lexus IS 250 throws an all-wheel drive (AWD) system on top line. Fuel economy, as estimated by the EPA, is 21 mile per gallons in the city cycle and 29 mile per gallons on the highway. 

Interestingly, the manual transmission returns worse mileage, at 18 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. The automatic AWD model is rated at 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. Standard safety feature for 2011 Lexus IS 250 includes airbags,brake assist and electronic brake force distribution, traction and stability control in addition to anti-lock brakes. 8 airbags and a tire-pressure monitoring system are part of all 2011 Lexus IS 250 models as well. Comfort feature include a 13-speaker Lexus Premium Sound System with a 6-disc in-dash changer with auxiliary MP3/iPod/WMA port.

2011 Lexus GS 350

Sophistication inside and out defines the 2011 Lexus GS 350 luxury sedan. A 303-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 powers the 2011 GS 350, and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with manual-shift capability.  If you require more power or enhanced fuel economy, V-8 (GS 460) and hybrid models (GS 450h) are also available.  The GS 350’s V-6 features direct injection and variable valve timing technologies, sending its power to the rear wheels or an all-wheel drive system.  The 2011 GS 350 receives 18-19 mpg in the city and 25-26 mpg on the highway.  Horsepower and fuel economy ratings are competitive with six-cylinder offerings from the Cadillac STS, Mercedes-Benz E-Class and BMW 5-Series.
