2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The new C-Class wearing the optional AMG Styling package (again, not to be confused with the upcoming AMG 63 performance version), looks sleeker and more contemporary than the current model, blending the design DNA of the bigger (and more serious) S-Class and the smaller (and frumpier) CLA saloons in an intermediate (size) package.

Mercedes has already divulged details and provided official photos of the interior, which raises the bar in terms of styling, and according to the company, quality as well. It also adds new or upgraded features ranging from the optional head-up display projecting info on speed limits, navigation and messages from DISTRONIC PLUS as a virtual image, to a fingertip controlled touch pad within the lower center console for the standard 7.0-inch or optional 8.4-inch color monitor placed on top of the center stack. 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

There's still a long go to the reveal of the new C-Class in 2014 and speculation over the styling philosophy is continuously growing ever since the first camouflaged prototypes were released on streets last winter. Those wondering about the design theme of the interior will now get an answer after spy photographers managed to snap a picture of the dashboard.

2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Interior

The team led by interior chief designer Hartmut Sinkwitz have applied a modern and dynamic touch to the future W 205. After having the shots taken inside the W 222 luxury flagship model coming this summer, we can say the next generation C-Class will be when launched, more than ever in history, a baby S-Class. The center console will be slightly more inclined than it is currently, emphasizing the key visual triple air vents and the aircon controls. Source

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class: The new C-Class Limousine, internally badged W 205, will be followed in the second part of 2014 by the estate body variant, baring the code S 205. The practical C-Class will overtake its sedan sibling by a few centimeters and thus will offer more boot space and enhanced practicality. The future C-Class T-Modell, as this is the official German title for the wagon variant, will boast an increased luggage capacity of over 500 litres with the rear seats unfolded. The powertrain will consist mainly of the new MRA rear-driven platform, with the choice of 4MATIC for maximum stability and traction. The new 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox will be as well available for the high-end variants.

In what powerplants are concerned, the new C-Class will debut a new, Renault-co-developed diesel unit boasting a 4-cylinder architecture, turbocharging and 130 hp. Further on, there will three more diesel engines with a cylinder displacement of 2.2 litres, which are rated at 170 hp, 204 hp and 231 hp. On the petrol side, the 1.6-litre starting model produces 156 hp. Its bigger brother, the 2.0-litre unit, will be offered in three power stages: 184 hp, 211 hp and 252 hp. The high-end model will be C 400 boasting the all new 3.0-litre direct injection, twin-turbo V6 powerplant cranking out 333 hp.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT: packs 583 horsepower (20 more than the current SLS) and 479 lb-ft. of torque from its 6.2L V8. The V8 is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission located on the rear axle that is more direct and aggressive in the manual "M" transmission mode. Thanks to newly developed gear change logic and optimised transmission control, it has been possible to shorten reaction time significantly during shifts.

The extra power gets the SLS AMG GT from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds with a top speed set at 197 mph. A newly developed AMG Adaptive Performance Suspension also enhances the vehicle's sportiness. In the case of the SLS AMG GT, Mercedes-AMG has combined the sophisticated suspension layout of twin aluminium wishbones all round with specially tuned variable, electronically controlled dampers. Compared with the AMG Adaptive Suspension from the 2012 Model Year SLS AMG.

2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept features a radar-based collision warning system with adaptive Brake Assist, which lowers the risk of rear-end collisions. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept will be unveiled this year at New York auto show and Shanghai auto show.

The proportions of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept suggest concentrated dynamism with a long bonnet, a low silhouette and slim window areas. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept‘s sporty appearance is given particular depth by the interplay between lines and surfaces. The wind and the waves, as well as aviation engineering, were the sources of inspiration for its designers.
