2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept

The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept features a radar-based collision warning system with adaptive Brake Assist, which lowers the risk of rear-end collisions. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept will be unveiled this year at New York auto show and Shanghai auto show.

The proportions of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept suggest concentrated dynamism with a long bonnet, a low silhouette and slim window areas. The 2012 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Concept‘s sporty appearance is given particular depth by the interplay between lines and surfaces. The wind and the waves, as well as aviation engineering, were the sources of inspiration for its designers.

Subaru BRZ Concept STI

The Japanese carmaker did not release any further information on its concept model. The rear-wheel drive BRZ is the result of an ongoing joint-project between Subaru and Toyota Motor Corporation. It shares its platform, drivetrain and as we can see from the single picture, its body shell as well with the Toyota FT-86. The only noteworthy styling differences between the Toyota and the Subaru that we can see from this angle aside from the aero kit, carbon fiber roof and STI alloy wheels, are the tail lamp, boot lid and rear bumper/diffuser designs. We're not sure if Subaru will market the BRZ (which stands for “Boxer engine”, “Rear-wheel drive” and “Zenith”) with the STI moniker or if the company will offer an STI derivative based on this study.

Whatever the case, the BRZ will be offered with a 2.0-liter flat-four linked to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and possibly, a 6-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. It has been rumored but not yet confirmed that the boxer engine will be more powerful in the Subaru BRZ than in the Toyota FT-86 where we recently learned that it produces 200-horses.

Disney Cars 2

Cars 2 is a 2011 American computer-animated action film produced by Pixar, and it is the sequel to the 2006 film, Cars. In the film, race car Lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) and tow truck Mater (voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) head to Japan and Europe to compete in the World Grand Prix, but Mater becomes sidetracked with international espionage. The film is directed by John Lasseter, co-directed by Brad Lewis, written by Ben Queen, and produced by Denise Ream. Cars 2 is also the first film John Lasseter has directed since the original Cars in 2006.

The film was distributed by Walt Disney Pictures and was released in the United States on June 24, 2011. The film was presented in Disney Digital 3D and IMAX 3D, as well as traditional two-dimensional and IMAX formats. The film was first announced in 2008, alongside Up, Newt, and Brave (previously known as The Bear and the Bow), and it is the 12th animated film from the studio. The film opened to mixed/average reviews from critics, and is Pixar's worst reviewed feature film to date. It is also the studio's lowest-grossing film in North America since A Bug's Life. Despite this, it continued the studio's streak of box office success, ranking #1 on its opening weekend in the U.S. and and Canada with $66,135,507, and topping international success of such previous Pixar's works as WALL-E, Cars, Monsters, Inc., Toy Story 2, A Bug's Life and Toy Story.
